Michaela Zemachová (she/they)
SACC Manager
Michaela develops and coordinates the day-to-day work of SACC and works closely with the Board of Trustees to deliver on SACC’s aims and objectives.
Nickii Cassidy (she/her)
Training Development Officer
Nickii coordinates and develops SACC’s COSCA-validated courses, ensuring SACC continues to deliver training in line with current thinking and research in relation to alcohol-related harm and counselling for behaviour change.
Lesley Ross (she/her)
Chair
Lesley has worked as a senior manager at Murray’s Initiative for several years managing a number of projects and services before becoming CEO in October 2023 when she also took over SACC Chairmanship.
Lesley has wide experience of developing and leading high-quality partnerships with a range of partners in third, private and public sector. She has extensive employability experience with a particular interest in recovery-based employability – developing Glasgow based Elevate into the largest PSP in Scotland.
Fergus McCurley (he/him)
Secretary
Fergus is the Finance & Governance Manager at Tayside Council on Alcohol (TCA) who has been on the SACC Board since 2017.
Fergus brings a wealth of knowledge on procedural and organisational issues to SACC. He also acts as SACC’s main link with OSCR.
Meichelle Walker (she/her)
Treasurer
Meichelle is the General Manager of Edinburgh and Lothian Alcohol Council (ELCA). She has worked in alcohol support services for many years and has played a key role in SACC’s development over the years.
Meichelle was one of SACC’s founding members and has served as a Trustee since SACC’s inception in 2014.
Kerry McGee (she/her)
Trustee
Kerry is the Director of Service of Ayrshire Council on Alcohol (ACA) and has a wide experience of alcohol counselling services both as a counsellor and a manager.
Kerry joined the Board in 2020 and chairs SACC’s Accreditation & Training Group.
Mags MacKenzie (she/her)
Trustee
Mags has worked in the charity sector for over 20 years and has been the Chief Executive Officer of Dumbarton Area Council on Alcohol (DACA) since 2017.
Mags took over DACA’s seat on the SACC Board in 2025.
Marie Crombie (she/her)
Trustee
Marie is the Chief Executive Officer of Substances Support Scotland with a decade of experience in operational leadership, organisational development and welfare and social services.
Marie joined the SACC Board in 2024.
